Awakening Wisdom Heart / Mind with Sharda Rogell and Hugh Tennent

| 0

The true expression of the Buddha’s teaching is to live a life of wisdom and compassion. But what is this wisdom and how do we cultivate it, and what is the source of this compassion? Wisdom and compassion awaken by cultivating and deepening our moment-to-moment awareness. In this way, we have the power to transform our habitual impulses and inclinations towards a higher good that impacts our speech and our actions in the world. This brings about a happiness that only leads to more happiness and a deep sense of well-being, for ourselves, for our planet and for all beings everywhere. This is called the “happiness of the Buddha”.

In this retreat, we will have the opportunity to engage in silent meditative practices in order to support and nourish deep inner listening and realization. We will deepen our mindful awareness together through sitting and walking meditation, dharma talks, small groups and discussions in the hall.

Sharda and Hugh are pleased to offer this retreat this spring. They invite both new and experienced meditators to participate in this deep immersion into the heart.
