A workshop for children 7 to 12 years old at Te Moata Retreat Centre,TAIRUA

Are you interested in night-time adventures? Listening to the Ruru under a star-studded sky? Getting your feet earthy? Do you love splashing through cold rivers to discover hidden waterfalls ? Snuggling round a fire sharing stories and songs? Are you happy hugging a tree? Building a fern frond hut?

During this 2 day live-in workshop, children are encouraged to experience their connection with nature through games, exploration and quiet times in our beautiful Coromandel Bush and express these experiences through the creative arts.  Children need to be accompanied by a caregiver (up to 3 children per adult)

Facilitators:

Beccy Dove: Adventurer, nature-lover, storyteller and singer.  Beccy is currently working as a facilitator for ‘Enviro-Schools’ and ‘Trees for Survival’. Beccy is a trained Creative Dance Educator and Primary School Teacher.

Dave Saunders: one of our two live-in Managers at Te Moata, Dave loves nature (especially birds and plants), singing and reading poetry. Dave loves seeing people learn and grow, and loves sharing the magic of Te Moata.

COST: Accommodation and food for two nights $170 for 1 adult and 1 child; $70 each additional child plus koha for facilitators. To keep the cost to a minimum we will be asking for help with kitchen tasks.
