Permaculture is a design system for sustainable living and land use; it is the harmonious integration of landscape, people & appropriate technologies to provide food, shelter, energy & for other needs in a sustainable way.  Permaculture is built upon an ethic of caring for the earth & working with nature. Trish Allen and Guenther Andraschko are outstanding and award winning permaculture leaders and teachers.

Feedback from course graduates:

Trish and Daniel brought decades of experience to the course which meant that the course was real, useful, inspiring and well-designed.  You will never look at nature in quite in the same way again. Our hosts were thoughtful, the food was nourishing and the beds very comfy. The fellow permies on the course were a lot of fun to be with and we quickly formed a close community. Would highly recommend!  Marjo (2020 graduate)

I recently completed a permaculture course held at Te moata, wow that place! it totally fed my soul.  The energy, the people, the place, it all contributed to hold space for change, growth and a amazing time together.  Mark and Lorraine, Kaia and David, Thank you, you did a great job at making us feel welcome and at home for the duration of our time there.  Its such a special place and I know for sure ill be back there, either helping, on another course or to stay in a hut there for some time away in the Sanctuary that is Te Moata.
