Authentic Movement is a simple practice between a mover and a witness. The mover closes their eyes, listens deeply to their inner impulses, and begins to move from this inner landscape. The witness sits quietly at the edge of the movement space and offers unconditional positive regard while noticing their own judgments, projections and interpretations. This discipline follows a developmental arc like other wisdom traditions, where regular practice allows for the deepening of our ability as a mover to witness ourselves, while the outer witness learns layers of witnessing with one mover and later can attend to multiple movers. This Retreat will allow a full immersion into the ground form of the mover and witness dyad, as well as collective forms such as the Breath Circle and Long Circle. This practice allows us to develop self-knowledge, presence, compassion and creative expression, bringing our mind/body/spirit into greater wholeness. We learn to live with greater ease and trust within our body wisdom.
Retreat begins Thursday with dinner @6pm and one evening session. Two sessions on Friday and Saturday, with one Session on Sunday. There are optional evening sessions on Friday and Saturday evening. Retreat ends Sunday at lunchtime. 18 to 22 hours of CPD or CEU available.
