Finding the Heart of Wisdom

Cultivating calm, compassion and clarity in the midst of it all

A nine-day insight meditation retreat focused on wisdom and compassion, the “two wings to awakening”. It covers foundational Buddhist practices, including the Four Establishments of Mindfulness and the four Brahmavihāra heart qualities: kindness, compassion, gladness and equanimity.

Each day includes guided and silent sitting meditation, walking meditation, some relational practice in pairs or small groups, individual meetings with the teachers, and optional mindful movement.

Teachers: Jill Shepherd, guiding teacher for Auckland Insight, and Di Robertson, co-founder and trustee of Southern Insight Meditation.

Fees: Sliding scale from $990 to $1390, plus dāna. You reserve your place with a $100 deposit, and scholarship support is available if cost is a barrier.

Please note: This retreat is best suited to people who have done at least one silent retreat of two days or longer.
