The Wisdom Way of Knowing

| 0

A Wisdom School lead by Pip Nicholls and Bev Silvester-Clark

The search for Wisdom is at the headwaters of all the major spiritual traditions. Episcopal priest Cynthia Bourgeault has described  a Wisdom Path as one that is grounded in ‘not knowing more about but knowing with more of ourselves’.   During these five days we will be working to ground and stabilise the ‘wisdom way of knowing’ – that is knowing from our three centres of body, heart and mind.

To support this we will follow a daily rhythm of qi gong, contemplative prayer/meditation, chanting, lectio divina, ‘study’, reflection, conscious practical work, contemplative dialogue and rest.  We will engage more deeply on Bourgeault’s material and practices for three centred knowing and draw from other Wisdom Teachers, past and present. This is always with the intention, as Bourgeault says, of setting “the precondition for being able to fulfil our collective human responsibility” in our troubled world.

COST:  $350 for accommodation and catering plus koha for the facilitators.  Special diet surcharge applies.
